My name is Sharon founder of Alafia Ceremonies LLC. "Alafia" is an Indian term meaning "water of fire". I reside adjacent to the Alafia River and Officiate Ceremonies thus Alafia Ceremonies was created!
My beliefs are to Make Magical Moments for each couple.
Every couple deserves a nice beginning to their married life.

No two couples are alike and no two ceremonies are alike!

Christian Ceremonies: 
Non Denominational Ceremonies, Faith Specific as Catholic, Baptist, Methodist, etc, Faith Specific Vows and Biblical Readings. Your ceremony will be customized to fit your personalities and desires.
Secular/Civil
We offer a variety of theme and civil ceremonies from beach themed to sweet and simple. Every Couple is different and unique & each ceremony is too!
Interfaith Ceremonies:
Often couples of Christian & Jewish faith will seek out advice on how to incorporate both faiths, and both families' values to make all of their guests feel special and included.
Joel and myself have assisted many couples overcome this obstacle. I have written a beautiful ceremony that incorporated elements of both faiths. Joel and I conduct the ceremony together. We incorporate Christian traditions as a Hand Blessing, Unity Candle, Readings or Poems, and Joel will speak in Hebrew the 7 Blessings and along with Breaking of the Glass. Couples and Guests are always pleased and impressed with the success of such a beautiful ceremony.
Interfaith 2 Officiants
Wedding Vows:
Your Vows can be said in the following three ways:
1. Repeat after me: I will speak the vows in increments and you simply repeat them after me.
2. I speak the vows and you simply respond " I DO"
3.You May write Your own vows and read them to each other. Memorizing them is not a good idea as this is a very emotional time and often couples will freeze or forget what they wanted to say.
Hand Fastings
Erin & Trevor's Handfasting Ceremony
This is an ancient Celtic Tradition and the phrase "Tying the Knot" began! Add something unique and different. You will have wonderful memories and Keepsake Ribbons. This ceremony is performed following your Ring exchange.

At the end of your Ceremony family and friends will throw a blessing stone into the Sea

Destination Weddings:
Many couples choose to get marrid at a Florida location of their choice. Our Beautiful Gulf of Mexico beaches, Hotels, Parks, or a homes of family and friends. Just the two of you, or with a few family members or friends you will create a memory of a lifetime. Many couples prefer beautiful, romantic, sunset beach weddings then celebrate with a quiet romantic dinner. Others will honeymoon here or leave for a cruise from a nearby port. Some couples plan day trips, fishing trips, sightseeing and even Disney or Busch Gardens. Many couples plan a reception back home for their family and friends. We will provide for you information to obtain your Florida Marriage License, answer your questions and assist you any way possible to make your Destination Wedding fun and stress free as possible.

We will package for you your Officiant Services with a One Hour of Professional Photography. All images supplied on a CD with copyright release. Once back home, couples will often use the images as a slide show at their reception for family and friends.
Renew Your Vows
Ray & Lisa 25 years together!
There are no rules when to renew your wedding vows! This is a personal decision. Couples renew their vows on an anniversary, after a difficult time, separation or terminal illness. Others renew their vows "Just Because". Include your adult children, young children and even your grandchildren. If you are in a difficult situation, illness, home bound, or in the hospital we will come to you. Don't wish you did! Just say "I DO" again!
Commitment Ceremonies
Also referred to as Heart to Heart Ceremonies.n This is not a same sex marriage. It is for couples who wish to commit to each other without a marriage license or legal marriage. This generally is an option for a couple who would lose retirement or pension benfits. Contact Us for More Information.

Sand Ceremony Package
We will supply the decorated table, choice of two colors of quality glitter sand, end vases or seashells to pour your sand, and a decorated Keepsake Heart Vase decorated to your theme or colors! Include your children... Let them choose a color sand and we will provide a vase for them to pour their sand with also! Everytime they see the vase in their home they will remember they were included... they were an important part of your special Wedding Day.
Officiant Attire
Our attire is entirely your choice providing it is within good taste! Casual, Formal, or Clergy Robe (providing weather permits and is not too hot to wear outdoors in the hot summer sun)

Each couple is provided with a selection of Scripts to begin designing their ceremony. Based on your desires you may choose from Religious, Jewish, Non-Religious or Interfaith. You may add, delete, or change words. You may decide you like parts of various ceremonies whichare always an option for you.
We will then begin adding your personal touches!
Families & Friends
Family and friends are always encouraged to read a poem or biblical reading, partake in a community blessing, candle ceremony, Unity Joining of Hands, Renewal of Vows by Guests, or any other way you wish to include them
Mothers of the Bride & Groom
Mothers of the Bride & Groom are always welcome to light the unity candles, and or you may wish to
give your mothers a rose during your ceremony

Elopement
A private elopement ceremony is the answer for some couples. They don't want their memory to be of a courthouse wedding.
Deceased Parent
Including a deceased parent in your ceremony may include a special remembrance. We will provide for you samples to choose from.
Children
You may have a child from a previous relationship, your own child, or an unborn child that you would like to include in your ceremony. There are several options available, depending on the age of the child and what you feel is appropriate. It may include Children Vows, Family Unity or Sand Ceremony, Gift to a Child or Children.
